Part A & B

I am going to direct and film a music video. I will be responsible for all of the planning and action phases of the video.

I am going to work with a performing arts student, with them acting in the video, in order to make sure that there is a sense of semi-professionality in the video.

My aim for the project is

To be able to make this music video, I will need a camera and stabilizing equipment.

The video is going to be a narrative mixed with abstract to give it a slightly unique feel. My idea for a creative project is a music video using the song 'Sad Still' by Quinn XCII. The song is about how mental health is still seen as a negative thing in society to some people and how people are forced to try and fight it alone or hide the condition. The main theme that I have gone for with the video is to ironically go the opposite to each theme. The concept of the music video is of a man suffering from a multitude of mental health issues and how he attempts to find the solution to his problems on his own. This will be represented by him in a science lab mixing chemicals and creating pills and tablets that he thinks will sort his issues out. In the verses of the song, the beat speeds up a lot (to emphasise how the artist's head feels with anxiety and depression), during these sections of the song the video will be set in a forest to emphasise how isolated he feels. This represents how he doesn't feel fellowship with anyone as he believes he has to face everything alone, never realising that there are people out there going through the exact same thing.

The leadership skills I want to develop through this project are:

Creativity

Communication

Organisation
